At-Risk Pregnancy Program

Provides education and counseling to pregnant women and new moms. The goal of this program is for the clients to experience a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and equip them to care for their newborn child. This program works closely with the WIC program, and a nurse travels to WIC satellite clinics around the county.

The services provided include:

•  Connecting the client with an obstetrician or pediatrician

• Education about healthy behaviors during pregnancy and the risks of unhealthy practices.

• Referrals for chemical dependency

• Smoking cessation services.

• Breastfeeding.

• Assistance with arranging travel to doctor's offices.

• Referrals for emergency housing.

• Newborn visit with information on immunization clinics and other newborn needs.
