About the Early Head Start Program

Early Head Start targets families with children under the age of three whose income is below 100% of poverty. For a family of four this is a monthly income of around $1,837. Our Home Visitors all have a background in Early Childhood Education and have been trained in parenting skills.

They make weekly visits to each of their families, following an educational curriculum from the National Parents as Teachers Center. Their goal is to make sure that the children they serve are developmentally on target and that their parents have the support and skills they need.

This program is always looking for more children to serve. Questions and referrals can be directed to Mary Beth Hagstad at 349-6685.
