Celebrate October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Strides 5k Run/Walk

Join Screening & Survivor Support (SASS) for Breast Cancer and We’re Active Licking County (WALC) to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Strides- 5k Trail Run & Wellness Walk on Saturday, October 15th. Everyone is invited to participate in this walk and run throughout Infirmary Mound Park (4309 Lancaster Road/ State Route 37) in Granville.

The 5k (3.1 mile) course will be on maintained natural trails; terrain is mostly flat with a few hills. Dress for the weather; a rainy day will make for a muddy adventure. The Wellness Walk will begin immediately after the 5k and follow the same trail. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome.

Registration for the event is $30.00 per person and can be done by visiting www.lickingcohealth.org and clicking on the Pink Strides banner. Participants can also register at the event from 8:00-9:00am. The race will begin at 9:00am. All participants will receive post-race refreshments donated by Licking Memorial Health Systems. Awards will be given to the top five male and female participants. Additional donations will be accepted at the walk and all proceeds benefit SASS and WALC.
